About the Company – Drayton have partnered with a European based supplier of chilled and frozen foods to secure a new Commercial Director who will lead their growth activity in the UK Foodservice channel. The company have a successful 30 year heritage and are privately owned, they supply high-quality products to key customers across grocery and foodservice, with revenue generated from long term customer partnerships in both Europe and the UK. They’re now prioritising focus towards delivering significant growth in the UK foodservice channel, where there’s the potential to replicate the impressive performance of both their European foodservice and UK grocery channels. The goal is to develop a strong, profitable customer base through building partnerships with distributors like Bidfood and Sysco, as well as direct supply to foodservice operators. About the Role – To drive this expansion, we’re seeking to recruit a Commercial Director to lead all sales activity in the UK foodservice market. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and building new, long-term business opportunities within the channel. The position will be based in the UK, with short haul monthly travel to the company HQ for leadership meetings. With its solid foundations and an ambitious growth strategy for the UK, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales leader and proven business developer, to join a well-established food manufacturing company at a pivotal moment in their evolution. Required Skills – A proven track record of senior level Sales leadership working for suppliers of food products to the UK foodservice channel. An accomplished business developer, who can identify and deliver profitable new supply contracts with leading foodservice customers. A self starter who is high motivated and able to operate with a significant amount of accountability and autonomy. Someone who thrives in “white space” opportunities, where they are required to build a strategy to win and sustain new business in competitive markets.
