Role

The Site General Manager is a senior leadership role within the organisation and has a wide range of responsibilities:

  1. Embedding the company vision and culture within the site.
  2. Lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team of employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  3. Identify and cultivate future leaders within the team and implement succession planning strategies.
  4. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimise production processes, minimise waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  5. Create a high-performance culture whilst maintaining an environment where individuals are valued and respected.
  6. Develop and manage the site’s operating budget, ensuring cost control measures and productivity targets are met.
  7. Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  8. Defining the capital agenda requirements for the medium and long-term growth plans of the business.
  9. Support the wider business in delivering improvement projects to achieve overall financial and performance goals.

Person

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, someone who has experience in operations management within the food industry and has the gravitas to operate in a senior role within a dynamic business. They will be confident, assertive, a team player, and possess excellent numerical and verbal skills. Extensive experience in FMCG is essential.
