The Operations Director is a board level role within the organisation and has a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • Delivering a redefined manufacturing strategy which will involve a site relocation.
  • Embedding the company vision and culture within the new site.
  • Defining the capital agenda requirements and plans for the next stage of the business.
  • Leading, managing and coaching a senior leadership team to deliver a complex change programme whilst delivering business as usual.
  • Implementing key operational performance measures and monitoring these to ensure sustained, incremental performance improvement.
  • Defining the OpEx agenda for the business and ensuring that it is adequate for the needs of the future organisation.
  • Creating a high performance culture whilst maintaining an environment where individuals are valued and respected.
  • Supporting the wider business in delivering improvement projects to achieve overall financial and performance goals.

The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, someone who has experience of complex site projects such as closure, start-up and relocation. They will have the gravitas to operate in a senior role within a dynamic business and will be confident, assertive, a team player and someone with excellent numerical and verbal skills. Extensive experience in continuous manufacturing processes is essential.
