We are seeking an experienced and pro‑active Facilities Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day management, maintenance and safety of the resort and the grounds. This role will oversee the maintenance, safety and operational standards of all park facilities, ensuring visitors and staff enjoy a clean, secure and well‑maintained environment at all times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the day‑to‑day upkeep of park and hotel buildings, guest areas, staff facilities, infrastructure and landscaping.
- Co‑ordinate specialist contractor and service provider works.
- Manage budgets, procurement, stock control and facility related expenses.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance concerns or emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation.
- Co‑ordinate and manage a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
- In conjunction with the team, ensure routine daily and periodic property and plant monitoring checks are completed and actioned accordingly.
- Work with other key Managers to ensure compliance is met for Fire Safety and Water Management.
- Drive the energy conservation strategy for the hotel in line with the Corporate and Social Sustainability objectives for the business.
- Assist with seasonal events, refurbishments and operational projects.
- Develop the team through training and mentoring.
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate:
- Experience in a similar position.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Flexibility to organise with the team to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations.
- Knowledge of health & safety and compliance regulations.
Qualifications required:
- IOSH Qualification.
- Qualifications in a Trade skill – i.e., carpentry, plumbing.
