About us
Drayton is a small, established company with over 50 years in the printing industry and 40 years in promotional merchandise, based in Reading. We produce a huge variety of merchandise in-house, alongside placing orders with manufacturers across the UK and overseas. Because so much of our in-house branding is time-sensitive, speed, accuracy and quality matter — every day.
As a small team, everyone here is a key player. This isn’t a role where you’ll be a small cog in a big wheel — we need someone who wants to be relied on.
The role
You’ll operate and manage production across our full range of digital printing and finishing equipment, following jobs from start to finish. This includes:
- Printing: Ricoh small-format laser printer, Roland large-format printer, Roland UV object printer, DTF printer, Trotec laser engraver/cutter, Epson dye sublimation printer
- Finishing: Veloblade cutter, guillotine, foiling and embossing, laminators (small and large format), heat presses, die cutting machine, Morgana folding machine, Aerocut cut/slit/score machine, and more
- Other in-house branding: ribbon printing, edible ink printing, embroidery
Expect plenty of hand finishing alongside machine work — this is a genuinely hands-on, varied role.
What we're looking for
- Experience working in a print room environment
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience using RIP software (e.g. Fiery)
- A versatile, solution-focused approach — comfortable multitasking across several devices and jobs at once
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine pride in quality
- Someone dynamic and adaptable, ready to step up as a key part of a small team
