About the role: As a Compliance Analyst at Drax, you’ll play a key role in supporting compliance advisory and assurance activity across our trading and generation operations. You’ll help develop and maintain a robust compliance framework that supports Drax in meeting its regulatory, industry code, and generation licence obligations. In doing so, you’ll help safeguard the business against regulatory sanctions and reputational risk, protecting our licence to operate. Working as part of the Wholesale Market Compliance team, you’ll support the delivery of compliance across both physical and financial markets. This includes contributing to business-as-usual (BAU) compliance activities aligned to regulations such as:

  • Wholesale energy regulations (e.g. REMIT, licences, industry codes)
  • Financial market regulations (e.g. EMIR, MAR, MiFID II, FSMA/RAO)

You’ll collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, including Trading, Risk, Generation, Treasury, IT, and other support functions, building strong relationships and providing trusted compliance support.

Who we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a willingness to learn. You’ll bring experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Exposure to compliance frameworks
  • Managing or analysing complex data sets
  • Experience working within a trading environment
