Head of Procurement
Full time, 18 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location – Flexible Selby/London/Ipswich

Salary £75,000 – £85,000 depending on experience

About the role:

As the Head of Procurement at Drax you’ll devise, implement and successfully manage the operational delivery of our framework to support the overall procurement strategy at a global level. The role will focus on IT related categories of spend covering areas such as hardware, software, professional services, cyber security and telecommunications.

You’ll help us deliver our promise by leading the procurement team supporting UK power generation. You’ll ensure management and prioritisation of the team’s workload. Additionally, you’ll focus on key areas of spending to support both the procurement strategy and requirements of the business.

You’ll manage and deliver effective tendering, negotiation, contract management, working collaboratively with business colleagues ensuring procure to pay processes and policies are operating effectively.

You’ll help us shape the future by partnering with key stakeholders and Procurement leads to co-create our 3-5 year strategic procurement plans. This will include clear deliverables to safeguard our supply chains. You’ll also work closely with finance teams to support the annual budgeting process.

This role also includes line management responsibilities.

Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role you’ll ideally be MCIPS qualified and have extensive experience in a similar role. It is key that you have demonstrable experience in end-to-end procurement lifecycle and can implement effective process and policy improvements.

You’ll have strong leadership qualities and a proven track record of driving transformational change within similar organisations. You’ll have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, effectively engaging and collaborating with diverse groups to align on shared goals.

You’ll be committed to delivering a prompt and efficient service to all stakeholders ensuring their satisfaction and enhancing your relationships across all areas of the business.
