You should be educated to at least ONC level in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering and should have served a recognised Apprenticeship. Specifically, you’ll need plant experience in the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment, including but not restricted to, 3 phase motors and associated switchgear, variable speed drives, soft starts, circuit breakers, motor control centres and 3 phase and single-phase distribution systems. You’ll be able to interpret schematic drawings, single line diagrams and PLC ladder logic. Ideally, you’ll also have process plant experience in the maintenance, repair, installation and calibration of plant instrumentation and control systems including, but not restricted to, systems for the measurement of temperature, pressure, level, flow, oxygen, and pH.
