As Senior HSE Advisor you will join our HSE team in the Commercial Business Unit of Drax Group, reporting to the HSE Manager – Commercial, to drive Health, Safety and Environmental improvements specifically within our EV department. You will be a champion for our One Safe Drax vision and seek to drive cultural change in the HSE performance, risk & compliance controls and behaviours across the EV department including electric vehicle charge-point installation and construction activities. With your experience working with CDM Regulations and having a hands-on approach, you’ll be designing, delivering and monitoring innovative HSE programmes and improvements to achieve compliance and manage risk on our construction projects across the UK, along with your small team of HSE advisors.

To be successful in this role, ideally… You’ll be well-organised and agile, able to adapt to the changing needs of a newly integrated and growing business. By being pragmatic, you’ll develop practical and logical solutions that will embed effectively. Drawing on your strong stakeholder management experience, you will be a strong communicator, and able to advise all levels of the business effectively. A Level 6 HSE qualification i.e. NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) is required for this role. You’ll have a detailed understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. You’ll also have experience managing a team. You will be able to travel regularly across the UK to EV construction sites and other Drax locations, as required.
