You’ll lead project teams for acquisitions or disposals, with typical business valuations of over £100m, and lead the post‑investment appraisal process, providing feedback on how effective the spend has been and identifying opportunities for improvement. Key accountabilities:

  • Conduct M&A discussions and prepare and lead presentations on proposed acquisitions with senior leadership teams.
  • Ensure a robust, rigorous and detailed due diligence process, managing all risks appropriately.
  • In conjunction with Legal, prepare transaction documentation (Confidentiality Agreement, Information Memorandum, Process letters, Management Presentations, Sale and Purchase Agreements).

Who we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience of M&A covering the full life cycle of transactions and proactively managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing a due diligence process, including prioritisation and assessment of materiality.
  • Ability to manage complex acquisition issues and perform in‑depth financial modelling, incremental P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis, accretion/dilution analysis, and similar tasks.
  • Previous experience in an investment bank, corporate finance team, accounting firm or in‑house M&A team.
  • Knowledge of the Energy, Utilities or Power industry is an advantage but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders in a corporate environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Rewards and benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus depending on company performance.
  • Private healthcare coverage.
