As a Senior Analytics Analyst, you’ll keep a close eye on changes in energy policy, market trends and regulatory updates, assessing how they affect our third‑party cost forecasts. You’ll focus on managing our non‑energy cost forecasting and help build a clearer, more informed commercial picture for the business.
You’ll take the lead in designing, improving and maintaining our commercial deferral models and exposure reporting across energy and third‑party cost areas. You’ll play an important part in the monthly finance cycle by providing accurate, timely and insightful cost reporting and analysis that supports our management accounts. You’ll also be responsible for validating third‑party cost invoices and ensuring the associated charges are recovered effectively from customers.
You’ll need a solid understanding of the wholesale electricity market, key industry fundamentals and how non‑commodity costs work, along with proven experience in the energy sector. This role calls for strong analytical skills — someone who’s comfortable working with multiple datasets from different sources, spotting patterns and trends, and turning those insights into clear, useful actions for the business. You should be confident with advanced Excel and it’s a bonus if you’ve had some exposure to SQL & Python.
As you help us to shape the future, we’ve shaped our rewards and benefits to help you thrive and support your lifestyle. If successful in this role, you’ll get:
- A discretionary bonus depending on company performance
- Private Healthcare
- SAYE (Sharesave): discretionary scheme from time to time
- Personal accident cover
- Group personal pension plan where we’ll pay up to 10%
- Holiday 25 days plus bank holidays
- Reimbursement of the cost of your annual membership of one relevant and appropriate professional body
