About the role:
Day to day you’ll aid in the development and maintenance of asurveillance framework that meets Drax’s regulatory obligations to monitortrade and order activities for market abuse and facilitate with advisory andassurance compliance activities across the group’s trading and generationbusinesses.
Using your trade surveillance system experience you willinvestigate alerts and calibrate abuse patterns, and feed this information tothe business as required.
You’ll provide support in the development and maintenance of aneffective compliance framework that meets Drax’s regulatory, industry codes andgeneration licence obligations, protecting the business against regulatorysanctions and reputational risk to preserve Drax’s licence to operate.
You’ll demonstrate an understanding of energy/financial wholesalemarkets and will increase your knowledge in the regulated risks associated withEnergy Market regulatory framework, including but not limited to REMIT, MAR,MiFID II, EMIR, TCLC, S&P and FSMA/RAO.
Your negotiation and communication skills will be key to successin this role, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders throughout thebusiness, including Generation, IT, Treasury, Trading & support functions,building trust, confidence and respect whilst challenging the status quo.
Who we’re looking for:
You’ll be educated to degree level with hands on experience usinga Trade Surveillance system in your previous role. Experience using the Scilasystem would be ideal, however we are more interested in your
Data Analytics experience and ability to model and understandcomplex data sets and identify solutions to data queries! We can teach you therest!
In a varying and fast-paced environment, you’ll also be involvedin investigations, including large volumes of data gathering, complex analysis,conducting interviews, developing/presenting conclusions and recommendations tomanagement.
You’ll be constructive in your approach, lead by example and havea strong moral compass.
