Our client is a well-established, London-based mid-market infrastructure fund with a strong pan-European investment remit. The firm has built a high-quality portfolio focused on core and core-plus infrastructure assets, with particular strength across transportation, regulated utilities, energy transition and essential services. Backed by a stable institutional investor base, the fund is known for its long-term, hands-on ownership approach and strong asset management culture.
The firm is now looking to appoint a Vice President into its Asset Management team. This is a key hire supporting the active management of the existing portfolio, working closely with senior investment professionals, operating partners and external stakeholders to drive value creation, optimise performance and manage risk across assets. The role offers broad exposure across sectors and geographies, and would suit a commercially minded asset management professional looking to step into a high-impact VP position within a growing platform.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES- Asset manage a portfolio of European infrastructure investments across sectors such as transportation, utilities and energy.
- Lead financial and operational performance monitoring, including budgeting, forecasting and KPI analysis.
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams and boards to drive operational improvements and value creation initiatives.
- Support refinancing, capital expenditure programmes, bolt-on acquisitions and exit preparations.
- Oversee external advisors, technical consultants and operating partners.
- Prepare and present materials for investment committees, boards and investors.
- Assist with ESG initiatives, regulatory matters and risk management across the portfolio.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continued development of asset management best practice.
- Approximately 8–12 years’ experience in infrastructure asset management, investing, project finance, consulting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure assets, ideally including regulated or availability-based businesses.
- Demonstrable experience working with portfolio companies and managing complex stakeholder groups.
- Excellent financial modelling, analytical and commercial skills.
- Proven ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively within a lean, high-performing team.
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to senior internal and external audiences.
- European market exposure and willingness to travel as required.
