Drax-Altus are delighted to be retained by a European private asset manager overseeing approximately €1bn in AUM, focused on opportunistic and complex investment strategies across the private markets landscape. As the firm enters its next phase of growth, a key strategic priority is to broaden and institutionalise its fundraising capability, diversifying the LP base beyond longstanding relationships and expanding geographically across EMEA and the US.

To support this evolution, the firm is seeking to hire an Investor Relations professional, likely to be at Senior Associate or VP level (5–10 years’ experience), though they will consider more experienced candidates. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will bring structure, discipline and strategic clarity to LP mapping, outreach planning and process management, enabling the senior team to focus on capital conversion and relationship development.

This is a long-term build opportunity within a growing and differentiated private assets platform, offering meaningful exposure to senior decision-makers and clear progression towards direct LP coverage responsibility.

The Role
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to strengthen and scale the fundraising function.
  • Lead detailed LP market mapping across Europe and the US, identifying high-probability institutional prospects.
  • Build structured outreach plans and coordinate targeted engagement strategies.
  • Manage, enhance and optimise the firm’s CRM system to ensure robust pipeline tracking and data integrity.
  • Coordinate investor communications, meeting preparation, roadshows and follow-up processes.
  • Prepare high-quality marketing materials, analytics and briefing documents to support LP engagement.
  • Attend LP meetings from day one, supporting senior partners in external engagements.
  • Drive process improvement and bring discipline to fundraising infrastructure and reporting.
  • Contribute to ad hoc strategic projects related to capital raising and investor development.
  • Over time, develop into a relationship owner with direct LP coverage responsibility.
Candidate Requirements
  • 5–10 years’ experience within private markets fundraising, investor relations or a reputable placement agent environment.
  • Experience within private assets (e.g. private equity, credit, opportunistic strategies or adjacent areas) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical capability with the ability to understand and articulate a complex, hybrid investment strategy.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.
  • Proven experience in LP mapping, pipeline management and CRM systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to bring structure and discipline to developing processes.
  • Commercial mindset and ambition to transition over time into a client-facing, capital-raising role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence supporting senior stakeholders in external settings.
  • Self-starter mentality, comfortable operating with autonomy in a lean, high-performing environment.
