Altus Partners is delighted to be partnering with a leading private equity firm to appoint an Investment Associate to its buyout team. RESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes but is not limited to the following:

Investment Management & Deal Execution

  • Support deal origination and execution across a range of sectors.
  • Assist in financial modelling, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
  • Develop investment theses and contribute to all aspects of the deal process.
  • Work closely with portfolio companies to support operational improvements and growth strategies.
  • Help prepare board materials and investor reports, gaining insight into C-suite and board-level decision-making.
  • Monitor performance and identify opportunities to create long-term, sustainable value.

Market Research & Business Development

  • Conduct sector research and competitive analysis to identify new investment opportunities.
  • Contribute to investment pipeline development and idea generation.
  • Collaborate directly with senior team members on capital deployment and investment strategy.

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience: 3+ years in investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to conduct rigorous financial modelling and commercial due diligence.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong judgement in assessing opportunities, business models, and value drivers.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Execution: A hands-on, team-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
