Draughts is a trailblazer in experiential hospitality, redefining board games for a modern audience. Our mission is to entertain our customers with amazing food and drink whilst providing a healthy balance between the analogue and digital world. We do this by creating welcoming spaces that encourage people to be present and connect with each other, playing any of the 1000 unique board games on our shelves.

As a Kitchen Supervisor at Draughts, you are a key part of ensuring the kitchen runs safely, consistently, and to standard every shift. You support the Kitchen Manager in maintaining compliance, upholding food quality, and developing the team. You lead from the floor, take ownership of the kitchen when needed, and set the standard through your approach to hygiene, processes, and people.

What You Will Do
  • You will lead by example, running through HACCP checks before service, coaching a team member on correct storage procedures, or stepping up to manage the kitchen in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
  • You will keep a close eye on the detail, ensuring food goes out to spec every time, cleaning schedules are followed without compromise, and allergen procedures are never cut short.
  • You will manage stock rotation, place orders in line with par levels, complete stocktakes on time, and investigate any variances with a clear plan to resolve them.
  • You will flag maintenance issues, log incidents, and escalate anything that could affect food safety or service.
  • You will take ownership of tasks and improvements set by the Kitchen Manager, proactively identifying where systems or processes could work better.
  • You stay calm under pressure, adapt to what the shift needs, and support the team in delivering a consistently high standard.
What We Are Looking For
  • You have experience working in a professional kitchen and are someone the team looks to for direction and support.
  • You are calm, organised, and reliable on shift, no matter how busy it gets.
  • You take food safety and compliance seriously and understand that maintaining standards is not optional.
  • You are proactive, detail-oriented, and take pride in the quality and consistency of food leaving your kitchen.
  • You stay focused, communicate clearly, and get the job done.
  • You are motivated to develop, always looking for better ways to work, and you bring a mindset of ownership and accountability to every shift.

At Draughts, you are part of a team that values creativity, curiosity and connection. We are a growing brand with big ideas, and you will have the chance to shape how we evolve. You will be supported in your development, encouraged to bring ideas to the table, and surrounded by people who care about what they do. We work hard, we learn together and we have a lot of fun doing it. And yes, there are always games. Lots of games.
