Please note this role will be based full time at our Head Office in Chandlers Ford.
Working as our Internal Sales Manager your role will include:
- Day to day management and development of all sales activities within the Internal Sales team to achieve maximum profitability and growth.
- Train, mentor and coach the team to ensure individual sales targets are consistently met or exceeded. Create improvement plans in line with training and development needs.
- Work with the Sales Director and Sales Managers to review customer allocation and support with the reallocation where necessary.
- Work with the relevant stakeholders including buying and supply chain to look at potential areas for improved sales.
- Provide regular reports and analysis of sales and GP performance to senior management as required, making recommendations as appropriate.
- Take ownership of own customer base, proactively generating new business through product promotions and special offers, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of managing and motivating a B2B telesales or account management team.
- Proven track record of achieving targets and results focused.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring a sales team.
- Recognises and rewards success, tackles poor performance constructively.
- Previous sales experience in hand and power tools is preferable but not essential.
