E-Commerce Assistant

Drake’s is currently recruiting an E-Commerce Assistant to support the day-to-day functions and operations of the website, ensuring that the site is optimized, products are enriched and accurately represented and the user experience is seamless. The role requires an attention to detail, customer-first thinking, time and workload management, as well as digital merchandising and a willingness to interrogate data.

  • Job type: Contract (6 months) with opportunity for extension or permanent

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Junior Ecommerce Manager in uploading, enriching and updating products across both the UK/International and US websites.
  • Undertake daily site QA checks for broken links, image issues and UX inconsistencies.
  • Work with the design and merchandising team to ensure product detail accuracy on product pages, including pricing and stock levels.
  • Support the wider Ecommerce team in setting up edits and collections for launches, updating homepage features and ensuring tertiary pages are up to date and accurate.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Ecommerce teams to update content across the site to support marketing and operational objectives.
  • Coordinate with customer support to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist the Ecommerce team with compiling reports from Google Analytics, Shopify or other third-party apps.
  • Track and monitor campaign performance, reporting to the Junior Ecommerce Manager to flag anomalies in conversion or sales.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with spreadsheets and data.
  • A basic understanding of ecommerce workflows (products, carts and checkouts).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time and workload management.
  • Experience with third-party apps such as Klevu, Klaviyo and Global-e is a plus but not essential.
  • A thirst for knowledge and aptitude to gain new skills.
