Overview
Almost 50 years since Roger Drake purchased his first supermarket in 1974, Drakes Supermarkets has now become the largest independent grocery retailer in Australia. While we’ve grown from one store to more than 60 stores across South Australia and Queensland, Drakes Supermarkets has retained the same values since day one.
Our Distribution Centre is a newly established state-of-the-art facility, based in Edinburgh North. It is the most advanced independent distributioncentre in the state, with world first technology.
Responsibilities
- A great opportunity to work in the onsite kitchen Team to prepare a daily lunch, Monday to Friday for the whole Team (no weekends or evenings).
- An experienced, positive and enthusiastic person who loves preparing great food and interacting with our Team Members.
- Plan and prepare a variety of meals for our staff.
- Drive positive culture as a key front line Team Member.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
- Order and maintain an inventory of food and supplies.
- Check and maintain the freshness and quality of food and ingredients.
- Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards.
