The Role

Electronic Warfare (EW) Ground Training Instructors

Location: Various customer locations (with UK support)
Duration: Anticipated recruitment over the next 12–24 months
Company: Draken Europe

Draken Europe is expanding its presence in Europe and the Middle East, and we expect to recruit multiple Electronic Warfare (EW) Ground Training Instructors over the next 12–24 months. These instructors will be deployed or detached to customer locations, with support and integration training provided by our UK-based experts.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing team, delivering cutting-edge EW training to military customers worldwide. Note that this is an Expression of Interest and your profile will be retained until live roles are released – at which time you will be engaged to formalise your application.

Key Responsibilities:

As an EW Ground Training Instructor, you will:

  • Lead the delivery and development of all EW ground training syllabi.
  • Support the development of airborne training syllabi and EW playbook profiles by providing SME input to the EW Training Manager, alongside Senior EWOs and Senior Captains—ensuring strong links between ground academic training and airborne execution.
  • Provide up-to-date syllabi and playbook information to the EW Training Manager and Coordination Cell for end-user units.
  • Arrange and deliver ground training support materials and completion certificates.
  • Work with IT support to ensure availability and functionality of ground training aids.
  • Maintain and actively promote a safety-first approach, operating in accordance with Draken Europe’s SHE standards.
  • Uphold Draken Europe’s Vision, Mission, Customer Promise, and Core Values.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by management within your area of expertise.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge:

Personal Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong commitment to excellence in ground training delivery.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute complex planning effectively.

  • Strong communication skills, adaptable to different cultures and contractual obligations.

Educational & Vocational Qualifications:

  • Ex-military aircrew (SO2/OF3 or higher), preferably with experience in delivering technical ground training to aircrew.
  • Preferred: RAF AWC EWO course and ideally NATO Air Advanced EW Course.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experienced DSAT SQEP instructor.
  • Strong background in Air EW operations, ensuring credibility with military customers.
  • Former frontline military aircrew with hands-on experience using EW systems.
  • Ideally qualified as an EWI/QWI/AWI/QAS.
