The Role

We are currently recruiting for Finance Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This is a key role within our Finance team, with ownership of fixed asset accounting and lease reporting across the UK business. You’ll play an important part in ensuring accuracy, supporting decision-making, and helping maintain strong financial controls. Alongside this, you’ll support with monthly reporting, capital expenditure forecasting, and year-end audit activity, acting as a deputy to the Group Accounting Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fixed Assets & Capex
    • Own the end-to-end accounting of fixed and intangible assets across the Group
    • Manage and maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    • Lead on the UK capital expenditure budget and forecasts, working with stakeholders to track changes and keep forecasts up to date
    • Run monthly depreciation, including any adjustments, and ensure correct allocation to contracts where required
    • Review assets under construction and support accurate capitalisation decisions
  • Leases (IFRS 16)
    • Manage lease accounting across the business, including aircraft, buildings and vehicles
    • Maintain lease schedules and ensure all lease changes are appropriately reflected
    • Work with teams across the business to identify new leases and ensure correct accounting treatment
  • Reporting & Audit
    • Support month-end close, including management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Assist with group reporting requirements and reconciliations between reporting frameworks
    • Support external audit processes, including responding to queries and preparing documentation
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Work closely with Finance and operational teams to improve processes and financial insight
    • Challenge existing approaches and look for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy

Experience / skills / qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (particularly IFRS 16, IAS 16 and IAS 38)
  • Confident working with complex data and strong Excel skills
  • Commercially minded with a proactive and curious approach
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong communicator, comfortable working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
