We are now seeking a proactive SHE Advisor to join our team helping drive a strong, positive safety culture across the business.
The Role
As a SHE Advisor, you’ll provide professional Safety, Health & Environmental support across all Draken Europe locations. Reporting to the SHE Manager, you’ll help ensure compliance with legislation, strengthen our SHE culture, and promote continuous improvement in line with our business objectives.
This is a varied and hands‑on role, where you’ll work closely with operational teams and champion best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the SHE Manager in delivering expert SHE advice across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with all SHE legislation, company procedures and contractual obligations
- Promote and support Draken’s SHE objectives and encourage a positive safety culture
- Conduct site compliance reviews and audits, driving corrective actions and continual improvement
- Provide SHE training and ensure it is effectively delivered and understood
- Work with managers and teams to uphold SHE standards and influence safe behaviours
- Oversee site SHE activities aligned to the SHE Management Framework
- Support risk assessments, assurance activities, safety coaching, and SHE Champion engagement
- Assist with developing safe systems of work and updating policies, procedures, and SHE alerts
- Contribute to incident investigations and regulatory visits
- Generate SHE reports and support SHE promotional projects and initiatives
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills
- Travel nationally and internationally as required
- Maintain Tech IOSH status via CPD
- Timely completion of audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Closure of non-conformities and implementation of corrective actions
- Accurate reporting of SHE KPIs, including LTIs, near misses, and environmental events
- Effective support for incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Delivery of engaging SHE training programmes
- Visible employee engagement through safety initiatives, campaigns and committees
- Up-to-date emergency response plans and regular practice drills
- Strong coordination with local authorities and emergency services
Skills & Experience
Communication & Engagement
- Able to convey SHE messages clearly using varied communication styles
- Confident presenting information, influencing others and sharing best practice
- Strong active listening skills and ability to build rapport across all levels
SHE Knowledge & Technical Expertise
- Thorough understanding of SHE legislation and ISO standards
- NEBOSH Certificate (L3) and Tech IOSH status
- At least 3 years’ experience in a SHE Advisor role, ideally within engineering or aviation
- Experience delivering SHE training, audits, and investigations
- Ability to liaise with regulatory bodies confidently
Leadership & Strategic Thinking
- Driven to deliver safe, practical solutions
- Positive approach to change and continuous improvementAbility to influence behavioural change and promote high safety standards
Systems & Reporting
- Proficient in SHE management systems and reporting tools
