Location: Teesside
Hours: Full-time 37 hours | 12 month fixed term contract

About the Role
Draken is recruiting for a Maintenance Production Planner – 12-month FTC to support the delivery of the L159 Base Maintenance Programme.
This is a key role within our engineering function, responsible for turning approved maintenance work scopes into clear, deliverable plans. You will ensure that all activities are fully resourced, sequenced, and ready to execute—supporting both base maintenance output and ongoing line operations.
Working closely with engineering, CAMO, procurement, and stores, you’ll play a critical role in keeping aircraft maintenance on track, on time, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules aligned to aircraft delivery targets and operational priorities
- Translate approved work scopes into structured work packs and task sequences in line with Draken policies and procedures
- Ensure the availability of labour, skills, tooling, and materials to support maintenance activities
- Coordinate with procurement and stores to ensure parts are available when and where needed
- Track progress against plan, identifying risks, constraints, and critical path impacts
- Drive recovery actions to address delays, shortages, and emerging issues
- Liaise with CAMO Maintenance Planning to ensure alignment with the approved Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP)
- Support aircraft throughput, ensuring base maintenance output enables line operations availability
- Maintain accurate planning records and configuration control data
- Contribute to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all planning activities comply with CAA Part 145, MAA (where applicable), and company MOE requirements
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in aviation production planning, maintenance planning, or MRO operations
- Strong understanding of a CAA Part 145 environment and maintenance flow
- Experience managing resource planning, materials coordination, and schedule delivery
- Familiarity with maintenance planning systems or MRO software
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
- Knowledge of CAMO functions and AMP control
- Experience in military or mixed-regulation environments (MAA, FAA, EASA)
- Understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality frameworks
- Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 27001)
