The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to support the Crew Chief and report to the Chief Engineer, ensuring the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance of all Part-145/A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities across our Aircraft Maintenance department and detached locations. This role is critical to delivering customer contractual requirements and involves providing engineering guidance, supporting decision-making, and fostering team and personal development.

Aircraft maintenance is a highly regulated environment where safety, quality, and compliance are paramount. The successful candidate will champion a "Safety First" culture, prioritising safety and regulatory standards ahead of schedule, while promoting SHE and security throughout all maintenance activities. Flexibility is essential, as operational demands are driven by customer requirements—meaning occasional extended hours and deployments within the UK and overseas may be required to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold a strong "Safety First" culture and ensure compliance with Draken's SHE standards and procedures.
  • Maintain the overall performance of aircraft maintenance operations and personnel at the assigned station, including safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise and certify aircraft maintenance and equipment.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to meet targets and budgets.
  • Ensure accurate completion of all maintenance documentation.
  • Promote a "Just Culture" for safety reporting.
  • Support operations both at the main base and detached locations worldwide.
  • Oversee ground movements of aircraft.
  • Assist the Crew Chief with task prioritisation, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain company values and strong customer relationships.

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor with strong leadership and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have proven experience supervising teams, delivering projects, and driving change, combined with excellent communication and influencing skills. You will be customer-focused, self-motivated, confident, and able to work within a defined set of organisational values while maintaining flexibility to support shift patterns and overseas detachments. Candidates must be medically fit for engineering duties and hold security clearance to meet UK and ITAR requirements. Essential qualifications include a minimum of 3 years' experience on fast jet aircraft and at least 5 years in an aircraft maintenance environment, ideally within line, base, or workshop settings.
