The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Electronic Warfare Officer for our Teesside Base.
Key Responsibilities
The position of Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) at Teesside is a flying role as part of a 3 person crew delivering airborne Operational Readiness Training and representative Electronic Warfare to train military aircrew, ground radar operators and RN assets both within the UK and overseas. The successful candidate will be responsible to the Head of EW Ops via the Senior Base EWO to deliver Electronic Warfare training via face-to-face briefing, tactical planning, airborne delivery and effective debriefs. The hours of operation are in conjunction with civilian FTL’s over a normal daily working window of 0600-2200 Mon-Fri, with a requirement to work occasional weekends when tasked. In addition to employment within the UK, the post requires the incumbent to work globally for periods up to 6 weeks in a single period. These areas will include Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have UK Military experience as Fast Jet Crew, from other Military Aviation or a background in Fighter Control. Ideally, the candidate will hold a Qualified Weapons Instructor qualification, Electronic Warfare Instructor, an Aerosystems graduate or other professional qualification relevant to the role. The successful candidate must hold a UK Passport and the ability to pass a UK MOD security accreditation.
