Are you ready to take your technical expertise to the frontline of defence innovation? Draken Europe is seeking a Connectivity Specialist to operate and maintain cutting-edge systems at the heart of the UK’s air collective training capability. Based at the prestigious John Collier Facility at RAF Waddington , this is your chance to play a pivotal role in delivering mission-critical support to large force exercises and shaping the future of connected air operations. What You’ll Do As a key member of the Exercise Control (EXCON) team, you will: Operate and maintain COBRANET , the air collective training network supporting Combat Air Force exercises. Become a super user of the SPEAR system, enabling collaborative training and data distribution across RAF and allied units. Drive capability upgrades and contribute to Draken’s connectivity strategy and service offerings to the MoD. Support night flying sorties , major exercises, and trials of emerging technologies. Provide technical leadership in crypto management , secure IT systems, and network architecture. What You Bring Strong foundation in IP-based IT systems , system architecture, and engineering. Experience in SPEAR operations , crypto custodianship, and secure communications. Confident working in customer-facing and embedded roles . Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of Tactical Datalinks , C2 systems, and NATO/CAF operations. Experience in radar, EW, UAV/RPAS systems , or defence test & evaluation. Familiarity with MOD financial processes and crypto policy. Why Draken Europe?
