The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Avionics Supervisor – Aircraft Maintenance to assist the Shift Supervisor. The supervisor will be responsible to the Chief Engineer for the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance of all CAA Part-145 and BCAR A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities at the Teesside Maintenance facility and detached locations. This role is essential for the effective delivery of customer contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with relevant departments to complete assigned tasks.
- Supervise and certify work within the scope of the Company authorisation, documented in technical logs or on worksheets/work cards.
- Ensure compliance with published Company Procedures.
- Complete worksheets/work cards upon task completion and record any additional defects.
- Notify supervisors immediately of serious defects.
- Ensure test equipment used is calibrated and in date.
- Maintain aircraft allocated under their control.
- Manage ground movements of assigned aircraft.
- Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines as required.
- Assume responsibility for all trades engaged in aircraft work.
- Oversee hydraulic system and engine ground run testing within their trade boundaries.
- Control documentation to ensure accurate and prompt entries.
- Assist in monitoring staff performance, attendance, and timekeeping.
Experience
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience on fast jets, e.g., Hawk T1.
