If you answered YES to any of the above then we might have the perfect role for you:

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher who is passionate about delivering high‑quality education to children and young people with autism, ASC, learning disabilities and complex needs. This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in structured environments, values personalised learning and wants to make a meaningful impact as part of a specialist education and residential setting.

Why This Role

This position offers the chance to work within a highly supportive, multidisciplinary environment where education, care and wellbeing are fully integrated. You’ll be part of a team that values safeguarding, consistency and creativity, with the opportunity to develop your practice, contribute to curriculum development and support pupils to achieve outcomes that reflect their individual starting points.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching and learning to pupils with a range of complex needs. You will plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons aligned to individual education plans, ensuring pupils make meaningful progress academically, socially and emotionally.

You will create a structured, nurturing classroom environment, use a range of teaching strategies to support different learning styles and work closely with teaching assistants, residential staff, therapists and external professionals. You will contribute to assessment, reporting and accreditation processes, maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, and play an active role in the wider life of the school. This role requires flexibility, resilience and a commitment to safeguarding‑first practice, ensuring every child is supported to thrive within a calm, consistent and inclusive setting.

What You’ll Bring

You will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate FE teaching qualification, alongside experience working with children or young people with SEN, autism and/or learning disabilities. You will bring a strong understanding of curriculum frameworks and personalised, engagement‑based teaching approaches, with the ability to differentiate effectively across a wide range of abilities.

You will be confident managing classroom behaviour positively, supporting pupils with additional needs where required, and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to build effective partnerships with colleagues, parents, carers and external agencies. A SEN qualification is essential, with leadership or management qualifications viewed as advantageous.

Benefits & Environment

You’ll benefit from a competitive salary package, ongoing professional development and the opportunity to grow your career within a supportive specialist education and residential care organisation. The environment is child‑centred, values‑led and focused on safeguarding, teamwork and continuous improvement, with the autonomy to teach creatively without unnecessary bureaucracy.
