We’re recruiting a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a specialist women’s mental health service supporting individuals with complex needs across secure and open rehabilitation settings. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering recovery‑focused, occupation‑led interventions that support service users to build independence and meaningful life skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop person‑centred care plans
  • Deliver individual and group‑based therapeutic interventions
  • Promote occupational engagement and recovery within the ward environment
  • Work closely with MDT colleagues to manage risk and support positive outcomes
  • Actively involve service users in their treatment planning and care journey
  • Maintain high standards of clinical governance, documentation, and audit

Requirements

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum 2 years’ post‑qualification experience in mental health
  • Confident working both autonomously and as part of an MDT
  • Strong commitment to recovery‑focused, person‑centred care
