Our client is a well-established manufacturer of specialist laboratory test equipment, supplying cutting-edge solutions to the construction and geotechnical sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their senior management team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Operations Manager to take ownership of manufacturing operations within a successful and growing business. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
The Role Includes
- Strategic oversight of all manufacturing operations and production planning
- Implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement programs
- Management of quality assurance systems and British Standards compliance
- Leadership of supply chain operations and supplier relationship management
- Responsibility for company-wide Health & Safety compliance
- Team leadership and development within the operations department
- Inventory control and resource optimization
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven track record with 5-10 years in manufacturing operations management
- NEBOSH/IOSH qualification essential
- Demonstrable experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Operations, 5S, and Six Sigma
- Technical capability to interpret mechanical assembly drawings
- Higher-level qualification in a technical field preferred
Package & Benefits
- Base salary £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
