We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Application Security to lead our clients application security team. This role is critical in ensuring the security of our cloud software applications and protecting our organization from potential threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application security, hands on, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for staying ahead of emerging security trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive application security strategy.
- Lead and mentor a team of application security engineers.
- White hat hacking - break the process / break the code.
- Conduct regular security assessments and code reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
- Manage and respond to security incidents related to application security.
- Develop and deliver security training programs for developers.
- Work closely with other security leaders to align application security with overall security strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in application security or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading and managing security teams.
- Strong understanding of common application security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and mitigation techniques.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as static and dynamic analysis tools, penetration testing tools, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
