Our newly extended hotel provides the perfect backdrop for any occasion from overnight stays for work travel, weddings to birthday parties to business meetings and more. As growth continues, we are seeking a Kitchen Manager who thrives in a changing environment to bring knowledge, skills and experience to our team. You will have experience in a similar role, or keen to step up into managing the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are created to specs, are mouth-wateringly appealing and delivered efficiently to our guests.

Main Duties of the Kitchen Manager Role:

  • Responsible for all operational aspects of the Kitchen and its success.
  • Support the Manager with the management of the Kitchen Division including ordering, stock rotation, food hygiene, cost of goods and rota planning.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain COGs.
  • Manage the day-to-day food administration ensuring systems compliance- temperature and food checks.
  • Order stocks, take deliveries of produce and stock rotation of foodstuffs, auditing equipment and standards.
  • Maintain a professional kitchen, with a positive attitude and proud workforce.
  • Delegate, lead, coach and manage your Team appropriately.
  • Ensure all documentation, i.e. daily/ weekly/ monthly checks are completed as required.

Key Requirements for the Kitchen Manager Role:

  • Great cooking skills.
  • Proven skills efficiently running the pass with busy shifts.
  • Evidence of managing a Team within a Catering / Hotel environment.
  • Superb Customer Service skills.
  • A cooking qualification such as Diploma, NVQ or SVQ, along with Allergens and Food Hygiene training.
  • Experience preparing dishes of a variety of cuisines is highly desirable.
