Job Purpose
As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the assigned site while responding effectively to any emergencies.
Job Overview
As the first point of contact for visitors, a Security Officer plays a crucial role in protecting people and property. This includes patrolling the site, monitoring access, and ensuring all security procedures are followed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrol and secure the assigned area
- Safeguard valuables in designated secure locations
- Prevent theft, vandalism, and safety hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate records of incidents
- Monitor and control visitor access
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Remain vigilant to prevent security breaches or emergencies
Requirements
- A valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor)
- Right to work in the UK
- First Aid and Fire Marshal training (preferred)
- Flexible, reliable, and punctual
- Strong concentration and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and handle emergencies effectively
- Smartphone
Shift schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 12:00 AM (Midnight) β 5:00 AM
- Overtime available for local events
PAYE ONLY
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Β£12.21 per hour
Experience:
- security: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- SIA (required)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
