A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team. Dragon Financial Planning Ltd are based in Newport and provide full financial planning advice to our established and growing client bank.

The Opportunity

You will be working within a small friendly team of advisers and support staff to provide continued support to aid with the smooth running of the business. By being part of a small, close-knit team, you will have the opportunity to be closely involved and have a positive impact from Day 1. Given the nature of the role, this will be office-based at our offices near Newport City Centre. There will be opportunity to progress into Paraplanner and Financial Planner roles as you gain experience and qualifications.

What’s needed for me to be considered?

  • Strong organisational and communication skills (Essential)
  • A genuine interest in a career in Financial Services (Essential)
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills (Essential)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Essential)
  • Educated to degree level preferably in Business / Finance / Economics / Maths (Desirable)
  • Willing to study towards achieving Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Desirable)
  • Previous work experience in a Financial Services/Administration role (Desirable)

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Preparing pre & post meeting documentation for clients
  • Monitoring and taking ownership of ongoing workload
  • Liaising with product providers
  • Arranging client meetings
  • Updating client details using our back-office systems
