About the role
This role is based at the Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS FT- Clinical Engineering with attendance at Milton Keynes College for academic studies. This role involves repairing and testing various medical devices. Candidates will aspire to become a repair technician repairing and maintaining equipment manufactured by a global leader in medical technology.
Tasks
- Carrying out assessment and initial test of customer returns for fault diagnosis.
- Determine corrective action required to complete the repair of customer products.
- Create technical quotes to enable the administration team to create customer quotations.
- Carry out complex repairs and conduct complete tests of customer products.
- Complete all administrative tasks associated with the repair process.
- Read and understand technical documents/drawings.
- Provide technical answers and advice in response to customer queries.
- Stock monitoring to ensure adequate spares are held for incoming repairs.
- Follow all the Trust Security policies and procedures and be vigilant to ensure a safe and secure environment for care.
- Hold a DBS certificate.
- Expect contact with patients and distressing situations as part of regular duties.

- To comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise environmental impact whilst carrying out their duties.
- To ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors and contractors by implementing, monitoring and complying with occupational health & safety provisions.
