About the role
Role Purpose
As a newly introduced role within Materials Management, this position will play a key role in improving operational resilience. A cross-functional planning role responsible for end-to-end coordination of supply, production, and inventory, with a strong emphasis on data analysis, KPI ownership, and problem-solving to improve operational performance and resilience. The role provides horizontal coverage across Materials, Production, and Supply Planning, helping eliminate single points of failure while enabling data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrated Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain production and supply plans aligned to demand and capacity constraints.
- Balance material availability, production sequencing, and inventory targets across the value stream.
- Review and action MRP exception messages, abnormal demand signals, intercompany and replenishment orders.
- Support production flow optimisation using levelling techniques and demand smoothing.
- Demand, Supply & Inventory Alignment
- Translate forecast data into actionable supply and production plans.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels, safety stock settings, and replenishment strategies.
- Work closely with suppliers, transport, and internal stakeholders to ensure continuous material availability.
- Master Data & Systems Ownership
- Maintain critical SAP planning data: MRP parameters, lead times, lot sizes, planning profiles.
- Identify and correct data integrity issues impacting supply chain performance.
- Act as secondary cover for production planner, supply planner, material planner and analyst roles.

You will be part of a team of 10 dedicated supply chain professionals focused on ensuring the seamless inbound supply of raw materials and aligning production plans with the needs of both internal and external customers. Our team operates as an integral part of a larger global supply chain function.
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline, with desirable professional certification (ASCM).
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and strong analytical capability (Excel/data tools) preferred.
Related Experience
- Experience in supply chain or production planning within a manufacturing environment, including MRP, inventory management, and demand-to-supply alignment.
- Proficient in using SAP or other ERP systems for planning, master data management, and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data, manage KPIs, and optimise inventory and production plans.
- Experience working cross-functionally with suppliers, production, and logistics to ensure material availability and resolve planning issues.
