About the role

Manage Draeger Safety UK, Draeger Medical UK and Draeger Ireland volumes linked to Trade Compliance UK & IE Department alongside communication with relevant stakeholders. Ensure procedures and policies are followed. Track, trace, coordinate and follow through to resolution necessary documentation to have all trade compliance and customs compliance processes in order.

Log necessary information onto relevant logs, spreadsheets, and systems in timely manner. Ensure accuracy is up to the best standard. Any related admin processes including but not limited to department’s time & attendance. Engage with internal (i.e. various Draeger departments on local and global levels) and external (i.e. 3rd party brokers, suppliers, HMRC, DIT, ECJU) stakeholders as necessary. Fill in and submit relevant GOV forms (i.e. C, C, C etc).

Must be confident MS Office user.

  • Must be willing to learn new systems and adapt fast.
  • Must be willing to undertake assigned internal and external trainings.
  • Must be willing to undertake level of research as applicable.
  • Must be willing to undertake assigned tasks related to business needs of Trade Compliance and Customs & Export Control Department.
  • Must be willing to participate in assigned departmental projects.
  • Support to Trade Compliance Manager where necessary.
  • Support to Lead/Supervisor of Trade Compliance area, Imports area and Exports area where necessary.
  • If tasks and coordination are assigned for Defense & Security element of the business in relation to Security Control – should be willing to undertake SC Clearance. (A separate discussion would take place for this element however candidate should consider this a possibility within the role).

    Trade Compliance and Customs & Export Control Department covers following areas –

    1. Country of Origin

  • Country of Origin Maintenance
  • Using templates provided to obtain and provide declarations
  • Updating and maintaining the Country of Origin records and tracker spreadsheet/ERP SAP
  • Handling notices from suppliers of changes to their provided supplier declaration
  • Where needed, calculating Country of Origin
  • 2. Export Control (EC) classification and licenses

  • Master Data Management and coordination (4 eyes principle)
  • Analysis
  • Annual updates on changes
  • License application for certain controlled products
  • Annual license returns
  • 3.Goods Description

  • Master Data Management and coordination
