About the role

  • Create test strategies, test plans, perform tests and statistical data analysis related to new products before launch and serial products on request of different departments and projects.
  • Work on test concepts from planning to commissioning of new test equipment, rigs and jigs and as well software/firmware related for various test purposes including simulation and test automation for internal and external build following the relevant processes and demands.
  • Use of statistical analysis to prove performance.
  • Use of Six Sigma and statistical tools for various applications in test engineering.
  • Direct test technicians to perform tests and document the test results in alignment with the standard procedures, H&S and test lab rules.
  • Develop and validate new test equipment, with a focus on automation via LabVIEW control and various other programming languages.
  • Support with product and test knowledge on request of Draeger departments and in interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Build up personal network with international test houses.
  • Correlation work on test procedures and set ups with international test laboratories.
  • Contributing to the global Draeger Test Engineer Network activities.
  • Update test equipment to align with standards and test requirements.
  • Maintenance of department standards and procedures: 6S, test procedures, SOPs, and H&S requirements.
  • Test equipment and process improvements.
  • Finalise projects, tasks, targets agreed in alignment with the yearly department goals.
  • Onsite working.

Role Requirements

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science

Related Experience

  • Exposure to lab testing and statistical analysis within an academic or industrial setting.
  • Some experience of an engineering or scientific environment outside of university.
