About The Role

All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.

Daily Planning Process

  • Generation of daily production schedules.
  • Review and resolve MRP exceptions using SAP reports and transactions.
  • Maintain the production firm zone for all sub assembly components within your work package (2 weeks Rolling).
  • Attend the daily production meeting to discuss plan attainment, capacity, inbound, materials and quality concerns.
  • Ensure any open issues are dealt with effectively following the Draeger escalation process if necessary.
  • Review, plan and release abnormal demand report ensuring decisions are focused on what is best for the whole customer base.
  • Review, plan and release intercompany orders using our Draeger bespoke plant to plant process (ZPTP).
  • Review order revising system for improvement requests (UK & Ireland), review materials, capacity and re-plan where possible.
  • Review planning books to identify fluctuations in demand, where possible use production levelling techniques to balance flow lines.
  • Review Draeger bespoke forecasting tool (ZDPS) for items which fall outside of acceptable stocking parameters and ensure most suitable options are utilized.

Master Data Creation & Maintenance

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of SAP views MRP1, MRP2, MRP3, MRP4, Forecasting, Work Scheduling, GPD / Storage 1 & GPD Storage 2.
  • Manage deletion workflows to ensure master data on obsolete items is up to date in the SAP system.
  • Work alongside material expediting to periodically review safety stocks on inbound materials to ensure continuity in supply whilst also maintaining cycle turn targets.
  • Periodically review abnormal demand quantities based on global guidelines.
  • Periodically review lot size parameters based on global guidelines using ABC/XYZ methodologies.
  • Maintain lead time offset in production BOM’s to ensure production schedules are aligned to current manufacturing methods.
  • Review DCR/DCO requests and make any necessary adjustments to the SAP system to minimise slow moving stock or dead inventory.
  • All exceptions are flagged in SAP using the low cycle turns indicator for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain total replenishment lead times for all materials based on the latest business conditions or lead time reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain business model criteria ATO/MTO/CTO/PTO based on global guidelines and local knowledge of material types.
  • Maintain planning profile on materials which are deemed suitable for forecasting based on analysis of past sales and business plans.

Business Support

  • Become a member of the Draeger Cross Functional Excellence team (GFE) attending daily stand up meetings using the Agile project management philosophy to solve problems and implement new initiatives.
  • Provide general support to production helping to resolve booking issues and other ad-hoc requests which could impact customer OTIF or create inaccuracies within the system.
  • Raise works orders and plan bespoke build requests working alongside design engineers and production engineering.
  • Create works orders to handle rework requests and seek opportunities to release blocked stock into unrestricted.
  • Represent the planning department as project support for new product introductions, changes to existing product or changes to the manufacturing processes.
  • Provide information to the warehouse function on overdue line items which are impacting customer OTIF along with recovery plans.

Role Requirements

  • An A-Level qualification (or equivalent) in Business or a related field is desirable.

Related Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a supply chain or operations environment.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience working with key Supply Chain KPIs.
  • Experience using SAP is preferred and considered an advantage.
