We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Graduate HR and L&D Apprentice to join a successful business and become part of a supportive, high‑performing HR team. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their HR career who is eager to learn, get hands‑on experience and make a real impact.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of customer‑focused and effective HR across the Draeger UK&I organisation. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of HR and Learning & Development activities, working closely with other HR professionals who are passionate about developing people and creating a great place to work. No two days will be the same and you’ll be encouraged to get involved, share ideas, and grow your skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Working towards a CIPD Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship, this role provides hands‑on experience across core HR and L&D functions and off‑the‑job training in line with apprenticeship requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Support
    • Assist with day‑to‑day HR administration, including employee records, contracts, and HR systems
    • Support recruitment activities such as posting vacancies, shortlisting, interview scheduling, and onboarding
    • Assist with absence management, probation reviews and performance documentation
    • Respond to basic HR queries from employees in line with company policies
    • Support HR projects and initiatives as required
  • Learning & Development
    • Coordinate L&D activities, including scheduling courses, booking venues, and managing attendance
    • Maintain accurate training records
    • Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and gathering feedback
  • Compliance & Administration
    • Ensure HR and training records are accurate and compliant with data protection requirements
    • Support audits and reporting related to HR and L&D metrics and training compliance
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times
Shared Responsibilities
  • To comply with the Business Information Centre (BIC) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties
  • To ensure and promote safe working conditions for all employees, visitors and contractors by implementing, monitoring and complying with occupational health & safety provisions

Reporting Relationships
  • Manager – HR Manager
  • Size of team/environment – Working within an HR team of 12, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Eligibility & Qualifications
  • Essential: A recent graduate (or equivalent) in HR, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Related Experience – Desirable: Previous experience in an HR, training, or administrative role; Experience of working with HR systems or learning platforms
