The Health Safety and Wellbeing Manager provides visible Health and Safety guidance to the project, promoting positive health and wellbeing practices and adhering to relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an advisor on all matters relating to Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) and apply professional standards to ensure best practice.
  • Maintain core areas of expertise and impart knowledge to aid the development, training and mentoring of others.
  • Provide HSW advice to managers and project managers to assist them in achieving project objectives.
  • Create, develop and maintain a range of internal/external relationships to maximise impact of expertise and knowledge to influence the quality of decision making, share learning and drive improvements among the Project’s supply chain.
  • Advise on and interpret project contractual and statutory requirements and obligations to protect the project’s integrity and ensure legal compliance.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners and suppliers to assist the achievement of project targets.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Understanding of H&S standards and the evaluation of compliance therein.
  • Knowledge of H&S Risk Management.
  • Able to undertake incident reporting, investigation.
  • Able to undertake performance monitoring and measurement.
  • Proven knowledge of construction techniques and their implications for safety.
