The business admin apprentice will play a key supporting role within a large, fast‑paced infrastructure project team. Reporting directly to the Personal Assistant/Office Manager, the apprentice will develop core administrative, organisational and communication skills essential for delivery of a complex, multi‑disciplinary programme of work. This role involves providing high‑quality administrative support across day‑to‑day project operations in both the project office and site office. Throughout the apprenticeship, the individual will work towards a recognised qualification, applying their learning in a real‑world environment and contributing directly to project progress. The applicant will follow a work‑based, industry‑specific programme whilst gaining valuable knowledge and experience, with support from a dedicated mentor. MDJV will dedicate a minimum of 20% of your contracted hours per week to studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise equipment, stationery and provide general upkeep of the project office and site office.
  • Support the coordination and booking of meetings, workshops, and site visits.
  • Draft agendas, capture meeting minutes and record actions.
  • Support internal communications by preparing updates and noticeboard content.
  • Manage the administrative onboarding tasks for all new starters.
  • Support team events, workshops, training sessions and briefings.
  • Maintain project org charts, seating plans and distribution lists.
  • Arrange fire marshal and first aid training.
  • Book business travel for the wider team.
  • Assist with office inspections.
  • Provide general admin support to colleagues.
  • Cover reception duties when required.

Qualifications, Certifications And Experience

  • GCSE in Maths and English, grade 5‑9.
  • 2 A levels at grade C or above.
