Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for the project.
Support the preparation and review of tender documentation and subcontract packages.
Analyse and compare subcontractor quotations and assist with procurement.
Measure works and assist in preparing interim valuations and applications for payment.
Monitor and track project costs against budget, highlighting variances.
Assist in the management and valuation of variations and change control.
Maintain accurate cost records, reports, and commercial documentation.
Support cash flow forecasting and financial reporting.
Work with site teams to monitor progress and identify potential cost risks.
Assist with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
Support contract administration, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
Technical Competencies
- Have excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a construction, commercial or related discipline; a lower educational level combined with extensive experience in a similar role would also meet this requirement.
- Good understanding of EU and UK legislative requirements affecting procurement, particularly responsible procurement.
- Comprehensive experience in procurement on construction projects, with good knowledge of the market.
- Solid analytical skills.
