About The Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the production requirements of works orders and production schedules are met in line with the Company’s work instructions and quality standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and edit existing CNC programs, select the correct tooling to complement alterations within the process.
- Upload / Download programs, set machines and monitor/inspect production, alter tool offsets and operate the machine until batch is complete.
- Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and replace tooling when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine.
- Produce components accurate to drawing.
- Ensure all work; tasks, procedures and documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001.
- Ensure paperwork is complete in an accurate and timely manner.
- Take responsibility for the work area ensuring high standards of housekeeping at all times.
- Demonstrate good team working ethic and commitment to highest quality standards.
- Always follow health and safety requirements.

- Good standard of secondary education.
- College qualification in an engineering discipline or NVQ is desirable.

- Essential: Time served apprenticeship, CNC Machine Centre experience.
- Desirable: Experience working on the following types of machines: Machining Centre, Mazak machining centers, Understanding of SPC.
