Well-established private, LGBTQIA+ friendly medical practice in Canary Wharf, London looking for one (or more) friendly, skilled and confident sessional GP to cover Saturdays from 11am - 3pm. As a smaller independent practice we can offer more autonomy and less of a corporate feel. There is also the potential for developing your own clinical interests and providing associated services.
The position involves:
- Providing regular Saturday GP cover in accordance with good clinical practice.
- Work consisting of a mixture of adult and paediatric general practice, sexual health screening and travel vaccinations.
- Usual admin duties (policies, incident reporting, etc.).
This role would suit a skilled and confident GP, preferably with private practice experience, looking for a longer-term and regular commitment.
The ideal candidate has:
- A friendly, non-judgemental and open manner, with great communication skills and business acumen.
- An interest or experience in any of the main clinic services (women's health, paediatrics, sexual health, travel health).
- Knowledge of CQC regulations/compliance requirements.
Essential qualifications include:
- Fully GMC registered with no conditions on practice.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- At least 1 year experience of working as a GP post-qualification.
- Essential GP skills: venepuncture, cryotherapy, vaccinations, intimate examinations, etc.
- Evidence of yearly appraisal and up to date revalidation.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Confident, non-judgemental, LGBTQIA+ friendly, and with outstanding clinical and organisational skills.
- Fluent English.
- Good computer skills.
