We are a family‑owned optometry group dedicated to providing affordable, insurance‑friendly eyewear and personalized eye care. We are seeking a Billing Specialist to turn patient information, submit claims to insurance companies, and ensure timely payment for medical services.
Responsibilities:
- Process payments from commercial, government, and other insurance payers for vision and medical insurances.
- Coordinate benefits between vision and medical payers.
- Manage denials and appeals.
- Update and communicate changes in fee schedules.
- Communicate with retail staff or patients about insurance benefits.
- Manage aging accounts.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in medical and/or vision billing.
- Proficiency in Medicaid and Medicare billing processes.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
