Dr Stephen Dunn & Partners are seeking a friendly, organised, and reliable Part-Time GP Receptionist to join our busy and supportive team at Dumbarton Health Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to contribute to the smooth running of a patient-focused GP practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing a professional and welcoming reception service to patients and visitors
- Managing appointment bookings and patient enquiries both in person and over the telephone
- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Processing prescriptions and administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate patient records using practice systems
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with general administrative duties
Person specification / What we are looking for
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, efficient, and able to work in a busy environment
- Has good IT skills and attention to detail
- Works well as part of a team while also being able to use their own initiative
- Previous Primary Care experience is preferable but not essential, as full training will be provided. The practice uses EMIS and Docman systems.
