We are looking for an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team to provide a range of services which includes Chronic Disease Management, Cytology, Immunisations, Asthma, Diabetes Management and all tasks related to being a Practice Nurse. You would need to have experience of working in accordance with the UKCC Code of Professional Conduct and The Scope of Professional Practice. Experience of EMIS WEB clinical system is an advantage. You would need to possess excellent communication skills and can demonstrate active involvement in a general practice setting.
The successful candidate for this role will enjoy working as part of a dedicated team who will receive an excellent basic salary commensurate with experience and with further development opportunities and an opportunity to join NHS Pension Scheme. We expect our nursing team to contribute to the growth and maintenance of high standards within our organisation.
Main duties of the job include:
- Chronic disease management clinics (i.e. diabetes, asthma, COPD and hypertension)
- Carrying out health checks and screening (cytology etc)
- Administering immunisations and vaccinations
- Wound care management
- Travel immunisations
- Any tasks related to being a Practice Nurse
The Practice Nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing Personal Medical Services to the patients of the Practice. To be involved in Health promotion, disease management, QOF and audit programmes in accordance with practice protocols and policies.
About us: Robin Hood Lane Health Centre is an exciting, forward thinking, and innovative practice in South London. We have a multi-purpose building, and have a variety of practice staff working with us. Our clinical team consists of 4 partners, 5 salaried GPs, 3 Practice nurses, an ANP, 2 Pharmacists, 2 Healthcare Assistants and Counsellors.
