We are currently recruiting for a Full-time Mobile Shunter (Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller), who will provide holiday and sickness cover across Bootle, Green Lane, Southport, Speke and St Helens Arriva bus depots. We are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and ambition to grow.
The Role
- Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
- Move and manoeuvre vehicles/buses within the depot, following instructions from the allocator and parking according to the parking plan.
- Maintain overall cleanliness, including bus and facility cleaning, waste removal.
- Perform fuelling tasks.
- Conduct visual checks for any damage, report issues, and ensure all windows are closed before buses enter the wash.
- Follow strict Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
- Deliver timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
- This role requires flexibility and the ability to move between locations.
- Willingness and ability to work unsocial hours in line with the late shift.
- Full UK car (B category) driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years.
