The Role:
As a GSO Shunter, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process the vehicles on their return to the depot.
- Move and manoeuvre vehicles/buses within the depot, following instructions from the allocator and parking according to the parking plan.
- Maintain overall cleanliness, including bus and facility cleaning, waste removal.
- Perform fuelling tasks.
- Conduct visual checks for any damage, report issues, and ensure all windows are closed before buses enter the wash.
- Follow strict Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
- Take on additional site duties in line with General Service Operative (GSO).
- Deliver timely, efficient, and courteous service on customer sites.
- Willingness and ability to work unsocial hours in line with the late shift.
Qualifications:
- Full UK car (B category) driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years.
